Laura
Laura and Lee have had a rocky relationship but are trying to make a go of it for the sake of their three children. It's hard for them as both have been trying to get work for years. When they apply, they rarely hear anything back from the employers, it makes them feel worthless. Even when Lee was down to the last 5 people for 3 vacancies, the company once again just never even bothered to let him know he hadn't got the job. It was to work in a warehouse on minimum wage, but it was a job. It gets them both down.
When I returned for my third visit, the family had fallen apart. Laura and Lee had split up and the children were being looked after by their grandmother.
